The box is cracked open, and we’ve got our hands on Nothing’s upcoming flagship—the Headphone (1) Pro—and right out of the gate, it’s clear they are targeting the comfort and tuning complaints that lingered with previous iterations.

Here is how the initial build and sound profile shape up.

Comfort, Fit, and Material Upgrades

If you found the original Headphone (1) or the CMF Headphone Pro a bit tight or fatiguing over long sessions, Nothing has completely rethought the ergonomics here.

• Weight and Balance: The first thing you notice when putting them on is a significantly more balanced weight distribution. There’s no heavy top-down pull or clamping fatigue.
• Titanium Arms & Roomier Cups: The larger, fully adjustable arms are crafted from titanium, adding a rigid structural integrity while keeping things lightweight. The earcups themselves feel noticeably roomier, sitting comfortably around the ears rather than pressing against them. It’s an immediate step up in daily wearability.
• Nice Protective Case: It comes with a nice, durable case, opposed to the typical soft pouch accompanying over the ear headphones.

Initial Audio Impressions: The 3D Presence

We’ll be diving deeper into genre testing and EQ adjustments in Week 2, but the out-of-the-box acoustic signature is top-notch.

With Spacial Audio activated, Nothing’s meticulous audio tuning immediately announces itself through an almost 3D-like spatial presence across the frequency spectrum. Lows have a deep, clean separation, mids carry incredible vocal clarity, and the highs remain crisp without ever feeling fatiguing. It gives tracks a wide, breathing soundstage that really shows off the on-board auoo processing..
